Sarah Field is an Australian artist, recognised for her highly detailed and intricate work.

BIO:

Sarah Field is an oil and watercolour painter based in Brisbane, Australia. She creates delicate and detailed works which typically explore the beauty found in nature.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Technology and spent her first 10 years out of school working as a radiographer. It was when she turned 30 that she realised her true passion was in fine art, and it was only then, in 2018, that she began her work as a painter. Since then she has worked with passion and dedication to develop her career in fine art. She has participated and been a finalist in many art prizes across Australia and has also sold her work independently to collectors worldwide.

Sarah credits her study as a classical pianist for giving her a romanticised view of life and art. It also gave her the discipline needed to develop her style of painting, which can see her spend an entire day painting a single flower.

Recently Sarah has completed more study in surface pattern design and has founded a fine art print and pattern company called Pattern & Home.

In the studio.

Painting for me is a meditation. It is a warm tea on a cool afternoon. It is a necessity for life and home, for joy and individuality. To create art is to experience the very best life has to offer and to own and display art is to spread that magic for all to love and admire.
