FabrianoInAcquerello 2023

I am bouncing in here to share some awesome news! My watercolour painting called ‘From A Story We Know’ is off to Italy this coming April for an international watercolour exhibition called ‘FabrianoInAcquerello’ - you can check out the offical web page here.

I was selected by the head curator Anna Massinissa and the Australian representatives to Italy, Wyn Vogel and Caroline Deeble. There are 37 artists representing Australia in this exhibition and I am so happy and humbled to be a part of this group. The artworks will be displayed in the gorgeous historic city of Fabriano which is known for being one of, if not the first place in Europe to produce paper in the 13th century. And it still produces the finest watercolour paper for artists today, Fabriano paper - you can watch a video on the process of paper making here it’s pretty interesting.

Watercolour painting of a baby boy sleeping beside his mother's leg.

Wanna know something funny though - my painting is actually painted on Arches paper made in France … shhhhhh! ;)
