This painting has both an energy and peacefulness to it that I really love - is there anything else quite like the ocean that can be both so tender and tough all at the same time? It was one of those paintings that flowed from my mind to the brush with ease, as sure as the tides come and go, and it’s always a delight when that happens in the studio. I’ve wanted to paint small seascapes and frame them in little vintage frames for quite some time. It would make a perfect addition to a gallery wall or styled on a shelf or bench.
